This was as expected, but unless you are an electronic surgeon, don't bother. It is almost impossible to put the phone back together correctly, and mine was doa. If you think you can do this search online for a video of the process. this is a job for a pro, I'd have paid $100 for this job had I known how hard it was. Too late now

Great price! I Had the HTC for about 10 months and the screen was cracked when i got it. Ten months ago couldnt find the replacement cheaper then 80 bucks. Item is just what i ordered and shipping was fast. Only thing to make the item better would had been the adhesive for install.

I took a chance on this product as it was reported earlier to have no tool. However, not only did it not come with a tool, it did not have instructions, and Amazon.com customer service did not respond to my request for instructions. Someone suggested a YouTube video, which was very detailed and showed the lengths to which one has to go to replace the glass. It's going to be difficult to start and pause and replay in order to do the replacement. I was given a discount but would much have preferred paper instructions. C'mon Amazon, get with it for the customers!

I owned the Wildcard for a year and a half until two weeks ago, when I found out that the XTC came out so I immediately upgraded to the XTC.

Here's my take: The Wildcard has a nice front keypad and easy to use qwerty keyboard. It is small, portable, and also has a nice design. The downside is that if you have large hands (I have small hands), you will have some problems navigating the tiny qwerty keyboard.

There are also more faults than benefits to this phone:
(1) The phone does have tiny outside and inner screens, with very unattractive fonts and font colors that you cannot change. This makes reading the time and date difficult if you use a dark photo as your wallpaper (since the font color is ALWAYS black, and you cannot change it). The tiny screen also makes it hard to see your photos, since they're thumbnail size at the largest. Forget about deciphering photos from photo text messages. Believe me, I tried.

(2) The phone has terrible sound quality. Unless you are at your home or a quiet setting, you will NOT be able to hear unless you put the phone on speakerphone when you're talking to someone. Also, the ringtone volume is very soft, even at the highest setting, so I often miss calls and txt messages. The phone's vibrate setting is also dim and I often can't feel my phone vibrate in my backpack. I ended up putting the phone in my jean pocket, but it's bulky width-wise, so it looks weird.

(3) What is up with the random beeping????? Seriously, the Wildcard beeps at random intervals of 10 minutes, 30 minutes, whenever. I tried calling customer service, no one can help me with this issue. If you put the phone on vibrate, it vibrates randomly instead of beeping. This is terribly annoying if you place the phone on you or anywhere near you. The beep isn't high pitched but it's definitely noticeable and distracting. You can only avoid the beeping if you put the phone on silent. But then, you'd miss all of your calls and messages. Dilemma, dilemma...

About #3, I read on the Q & A section on [...] for the Wildcard that many other Wildcard owners have the same problem, so I did not receive a faulty phone.


You can avoid all of this headache by purchasing another phone instead, unless everything I said above does not bother you.


Quick take on the Virgin Mobile XTC: It is basically Wildcard 2.0, since they're both manufactured by Kyocera. There are no more annoying beeps, the earpiece and speakerphone volume is loud, crisp, and absolutely fantastic, and the screen size is large and at a high resolution. I can actually see the pictures I took and discern what the heck they are! While its interface takes some getting-used-to, I definitely recommend it over the Wildcard. Seriously, I suffered for 1 1/2 years with the Wildcard, so I know what I'm talking about.

This was my first ever phone. I got it last year when I turned 13 and loved it. Now I realize that that was just because it was my first ever phone.

Personally, I didn't even like the way it looked when I first got it. And now, I hate it even more. The fact that it's a flip phone with a QWERTY keyboard is not only a weird idea, but it doesn't work very well. What's more, it is SMALL. I mean, it's PAINFULLY small. The screen is ridiculously minuscule, making the display a very low resolution. This results in menus that look like crap and pictures that have more pixels than a classic Super Nintendo game (why does this phone even HAVE a camera, anyway?).

The redeemable feature is, obviously, the QWERTY keyboard. In fact, the only reason I gave this phone 2 stars is because of it. The keys are all spaced just so, making typing easy and fast. And yet, that's the only good thing I can think of.

This phone... this phone. That's all I can say. This phone. :D

I am a very picky person when it comes to spending more than 50 bucks. So obviously it took me a long time to decide to get this phone. I have owned this phone for about a year now and I have to say, is awful. You cannot feel the vibrate, sometimes even when the phone is in your hand! Its awful, I recieve texts and have no idea and Ill look and they were recieved like an hour ago. Also, this phone is very bad sound wise, you cannot hear people on it too well and they can barely hear you. Overall a very poor experience for more than 20 bucks, this phone is worthless. Its quiet,cheap feeling, junky vibrate, small keys, small screen, JUNK. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

I bought the Clickfree Automatic Backup not so much for the backup function, but mostly for the "Bonus Feature" listed on the back of the package that says "Automatically copy the music from any iPod to your computer." I thought that this would be very handy in case the music on my desktop was ever lost. I'm so happy with the way that this worked that I had to write a review.

When I first plugged the Clickfree into my computer, the software opened up and asked me to plug in the hard drive or iPod. However, when I did the software did not respond. I went to the Clickfree website for customer support and they had a page that showed very clearly how to update the software to the latest version. Once I updated to the latest version, I started over and everything went very smoothly.

When you plug in the Clickfree with your iPod the software starts automatically with a 30-second timer before it starts to choose options before it backs up your data. One of the options is to copy music from your iPod. When you choose that option, you are given a choice of copying All Music or select only the playlists that you want. You can also select the directory on your computer where you want it to be copied to.

The most impressive thing is that it copies the songs and playlists and adds it to your iTunes Library automatically. There is no extra work that you need to do. I know they advertised it as being easy, but I didn't believe that it would be that easy!

I got a great deal on this and it, so far, has worked really well. In fact, I may buy one for my elderly parents who could really use an external backup solution. If one of their computers ever goes kaput, who knows what kind of documents they'll lose forever.

It's very simple to use with the default setup. Changing the parameters is pretty easy as well, just a little cumbersome. It makes you walk through things, step by step, which is great for a luddite but can be tiresome as you click through five or six windows just to get to a single setting you want to change.

All in all, cool item and I'll probably buy more.


Clickfree T502 Review by John Wilcox "Family Man" (Central NY, USA)

I purchased the Clickfree Automatic Backup Transformer from Amazon.com, hooked it up to my new Dell PC and my new Western Digital 1 TB external hard drive and booted-up my Windows 7 platform PC. It backed-up everything on my PC's hard drive fast and without a problem.

Pros: (1) It does what it's supposed to do; (2) it's intuitave; (2) easy to use; (4) and fast; (5) and it backs-up only updated files.

Cons: (1) Most of my files, ex. digital images, music, etc., are stored only on my old Western Digital external hard drive rather than on my PC's hard drive. Since there's no way to connect the Clickfree between two external hard drives, I'll have to copy those files from my old external hard drive onto my PC's hard drive and back them up from there to the new external hard drive via Clickfree. (See Update Below)

(2) The Clickfree cable is way too short, making it difficult to make the connection between the PC's USB and the external hard drive.

Update: 04-16-2010 ... Clickfree caused my Roxio Easy Cd and DVD Burning DE Home (Ver. 10.3.106) to freeze up. After spending hours on-line with a Dell computer tech (who was of no assistance), and paying a local computer tech $120 to isolate and correct the problem caused by Clickfree, it was found that Clickfree interfered with my (PLDS DVDRWBD DH-6E2S) BluRay DVD burner causing it to malfunction. This, in turn, caused Roxio to freeze up.

Summary: Given the cost of this product, coupled with the expense (twice the cost of the Clickfree), and time wasted in determining and correcting the problem Clickfree caused, I wouldn't recommend this product to a friend.

It appeared to be boxed properly, however when I opened the package one of the seals was broken and the ink had spilled out and filled up the bag it was contained in. I replaced a few cables for my stereo system (connected to a computer / laptop), among them were cheap and expensive, and they remained alive for six months. Then began the problem: broken wires and plugs. This cable from Mediabridge is a quality and cheap (surprisingly). Cable itself is sufficiently rigid and durable, but flexible. The plugs are made of metal (not cheap plastic!) And is very durable and reliable! Wires and jacks firmly soldered to the connector and covered with durable rubber (you see this, remove the plug if the screw thread). It is important to note that the plugs are snug against the jacks (RCA) and never fall out of them. There will be no interference, and other troubles. Excellent sound is provided to you! I recommend to buy!

P. S. I apologize for my bad English. I'm from Russia, Siberia and has recently started to learn English :)

I have had 3-4 pairs of these and they have all met the same fate (you may ask why I've bought several when the first one broke, the answer to that is that I bought a new one and returned the broken one in the new box in hopes that it was a defected headset). Due to the way the cable is designed, it eventually loses connection to one or both of the speakers. I have looked inside, and the wires are still connected, so it must be a defect in the cable. Within a few months, the sound on the left headphone begins transmitting/stopping transmitting sound randomly until I lost complete sound of the left headphone. While they worked the sound was good, the volume control was easy to use and the microphone mute button came in handy. However, the short life of these headphones means you are better off buying better.

I've owned three pairs of these that I got as gifts and the mic stopped working on all three. Everything else about this headset is great, but the mics just dont last. The wiring is weak and bad connections form so if you wiggle it a bit the mic works for a time but then will stop working again. Should be stronger reinforcing on the wire

Very nice pillows. I ordered the 34 ounce, rather than the 27 ounce, based on another review, but actually found the 34 ounce to be a little too much fluff for my liking. I sleep on my side/stomach so I like my pillows a little flatter. The pillows are very well made and the gel fibers are very nice to sleep on. I would recommend these.

We couldn't figure out why water was leaking into the refrigerator. The problem seemed to coincide with the food in the refrigerator freezing. Once we thawed the food and lowered the cooling setting on our refrigerator, the leak started. Finally figured out it was a cracked housing on the water filter. I am guessing that the water froze in the filter and expanded enough to break the housing. I ordered the replacement part online, it showed up in a few days, easy to replace, problem solved.

This kettle is a waste of money. The kettle sits on a 6" disc of heat absorbing metal. This disc is what makes the kettle induction compatible. However, the disc size since it is about 2 inches smaller than the diameter of the kettle is too small to heat the water. I use it on a ceramic cooktop stove which requires the pot base size to be matched to the burner size. You don't put small pots on big burners. So I am relegated to using the smallest burner which requires a good 15 minutes at the high setting to bring four cups of water to a boil. Which is unacceptable to me. Lastly, I was hoping I could live without the whistle. I figured I would set a timer and deal with it. But it is almost impossible to figure out when the water starts to boil even with your ear next to it. I purchased a good copper kettle made in England a couple of years ago. I had hoped never to need another kettle but when the nickel interior started coming off exposing the copper I worried about metal poisoning. I purchased this kettle because it was suppose to be high quality and made in Belgium. It is made in indonesia, I doubt the welds for the handle will hold up to time and it comes with a warning saying don't let water boil out or bad things will happen like melting. So why no whistle? I have ordered a kettle from Plow and Hearth that states the stainless steel kettle can even be heated dry, plus it has a whistle. The stainless steel is not as good 18/8 vs 18/10 but then how do I really know the quality is really there. Bottom line, I purchased this kettle because I read it came with great warranty and was made in Belgium. Neither of these things were true with this kettle. I will attempt to return it but do not hold out much hope since it was not shipped directly from Amazon.
